The Contest is open to all residents, regardless of age, of the Niagara Region.
All submissions must be received by no later than 5PM on June 15, 2015.
Winners will be eligible to win up to sixteen (16) tickets for a variety of TORONTO 2015 events. These events may include any sport at any TORONTO 2015 venue.
Winners are not guaranteed that all tickets won will be for the same event.
How to Enter
There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest.
All entrants must submit a photo to email@example.com that meets the following Contest guidelines:
Each entrant must submit a photo (or photo collage) of an individual or group wearing Pan Am inspired outfits. These outfits could be based on the 51 Pan Am and Parapan Am sports, the TORONTO 2015 colours, PACHI the TORONTO 2015 mascot, the 41 Pan American countries competing in the Games, etc.
All photos must be deemed appropriate by the selection committee.
All submission emails must be submitted by an individual 13 years of age or older. For participants younger than 13, a parent/guardian must submit on their behalf. When submitting, please include the following contact information in order to be eligible to receive the prize:
- Full name
- Mailing address
- Alternate email address
- Phone number
- Date of Birth
- Organization/team name and information (if applicable)
If the submission is a group submission, contact information is only required for a primary contact.
Winners will be selected based upon the following criteria:
- Creativity of the outfit(s)
- Clarity of Pan Am inspiration of the outfit(s)
Upon being declared a winner, the entrant will be contacted via email and informed the number of tickets they have been awarded, along with information regarding the events, times, and locations for said tickets. If the primary contact or person submitting the photo is not 18 years of age or older, a parent or guardian must accept the prize of the recipients behalf.
No prize may be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred to any third party.
Odds of Winning
The odds of winning the Contest are dependent on the number of entrants attempting to enter the Contest at any given time.
The winner acknowledges that the collection or use of the prize may be inherently dangerous and agrees to release and hold harmless the Niagara Sport Commission (NSC), the Niagara Region, the City of St. Catharines, and the City of Welland for any and all damages he/she may incur through entering the Contest or through the collection or use of the prize. The winner also agrees to sign a standard release and waiver of liability prior to claiming the prize.
Prize winners shall be responsible for all costs and expenses not explicitly stated to form part of the prize.
Prior to receiving the prize, the prize winner shall sign a standard release and liability waiver absolving the Niagara Sport Commission (NSC), the Niagara Region, the City of St. Catharines, and the City of Welland of all its obligations under the Contest and accepting the prize as awarded as full and final satisfaction of all items owed to him or her by the Niagara Sport Commission (NSC), the Niagara Region, the City of St. Catharines, and the City of Welland.
Niagara’s Local Pan Am Task Force Committee may, at its sole discretion, substitute a prize or a portion thereof with an alternate prize of equal or greater value. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Niagara’s Local Pan Am Task Force Committee shall not be responsible to substitute a prize or portion thereof where such prize cannot be redeemed due to factors beyond its reasonable control.
Niagara’s Local Pan Am Task Force Committee reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest in any way it deems appropriate, and for, any reason, at any time prior to the declaration of a winner.
By entering the Contest, all persons are deemed to have read and to have accepted these rules and regulations.
I hereby agree that my name and photograph may be used in association with promoting the 2015 Pan American Games and Parapan American Games on behalf of the City of Welland, City of St. Catharines, Niagara Region, and Niagara Sport Commission through all forms of media.
