131st ROAL CANADIAN HENLEY REGATTA
From August 4 – 11, the City of St. Catharines rolled out the welcome mat for the best in rowing as they celebrated 131 years of competition and tradition.
The Regatta accomplished its goal of offering the best experience for all participating as competitors, coaches, spectators and volunteers.
When it came to the best, it was also perfect weather conditions for the entire Regatta.
“It is definitely some of the best conditions that we have had in a long time,” said Henley Commissioner Bill Schenck. “The lack of wind and rain has made for some ideal rowing conditions.”
Championship Sunday was absolutely perfect conditions that reflected in the impressive racing times that were posted in the finals.
Over 3,000 participants including rowers, coaches, organizers, and volunteers enjoyed the amazing weather and rowing conditions during the week long event.
